Happi Reads is designed to stimulate early readers by engaging them in a colorful and teacher approved single word reading activity. Every level has audio feedback and yummy rewards to “eat”. There are 8 languages available within the app - perfect for school and families practicing a second language.

The app is also cleverly designed to discourage random guessing by displaying a new word and picture sequence after an answer has been given. Words that were not correctly recognized initially will be repeated again later in the sequence.

Game Description:
The app will display a word and three pictures on the screen. The object of the game is to correctly read the word in order to match it to the corresponding picture. For every correct answer a fruit will be earned for later munching once the level is complete.

The words to read will increase in difficulty with each level. There are 100 words in 4 different levels. In the English version, the first level only uses words from the Dolch sight word list. When a word has been read and the correct picture selected, the word will be read aloud for reinforcement and audio feedback.

Features:
• Easy to read everyday words
• Ability to change between UPPER and lower case
• Relaxing background music (mutable)
• Vivid and unique artwork
• Rewarding, easy and fun game play
• No ads or confusing settings screens
• 8 languages

Decent
For a priced app I would look for something more. Theres not much to it. Three cards are presented, a kids voice says the word on top, the user chooses which card matches the word. Thats it.
Fun to learn new languages too
The app is easy to learn and fun to use. I liked that you could also learn many other languages by switching the flags on the home screen. Tapping the fruit to "eat" it was a fun reward! Needs more levels.
Word Matching
I felt this app was ok. It was very easy to understand how to use. I had to turn off the music because it got annoying. I agree with the person who says it needs more if it is going to be a paid app. It is good for practicing matching known words to pictures. I dont really feel that teaches someone how to read.
An okay app
This app is easy to use and includes several languages. A word is shown to a child and the child must click on the correct pictures. However, if the child chooses the wrong picture, there is not an error correction. So I am not sure how the app is teaching a child to learn to read because it does not teach the child the words. I would recommend this app for children who already know how to read, but not for children just learning to read.
Good way to practice reading
There are 4 levels with words. The words are getting harder by each level. You are shown 3 pictures and 1 word. The word corresponds to one of the pictures. You (your child...) should try to read the word and select the right picture. You cant guess as an incorrect selection results in a new word and new pictures. Great way to practice reading for beginners.
